Iconographic Features:  Anthropomorphized Sea Lion holding club, rattle and panpipe. It is depicted with extended tongue. Extended tongue terminates in a feline head with human body wearing a tunic. Not-So-Horrible-Bird and Feline Hawk terminating jagged snake bodies.

Description:  effigy vase (detail), C-13447 M.N.A.A.H.-Lima.
Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5.
Iconographic Features:  Anthropomorphic Mythical Being with Jagged Tail, possibly a variety of the Masked Mythical Being. It holds a club and trophy head (right hand), and a carrying cord that comes out of the being’s mouth. The cord is depicted as the spotted body of a serpent ending in four serpents.

Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase.
Iconographic Features:  Bird Mythical Being 4 (BMB-4) depicted with wing, tail, human torso with legs, and human arms. Wing and tail depicted with snake feathers. Wing covered with trophy heads. The main figure holds a club and carries a carrying cord that comes out of the being’s mouth (same gesture as in CL 57).

Iconographic Features:  Rayed Feline Head depicted with human legs. Extrusion from the mouth in the form of two serpents to which the Crested Bird (grey) and Feline Hawk are attached. Crested Bird depicted with carrying cord in its beak (compare with CL 23, 57, 112).
